Andrew Skuse - Norfolk Brass

Andrew Skuse

Solo Cornet

Andrew started playing cornet at the age of seven with the Norwich Citadel Salvation Army Band. He went on to play with Hellesdon and Sprowston Brass before joining Norfolk Brass in 2009.

He says he plays cornet because 'it is the best instrument in the band' (although others may disagree with that), and that he plays with Norfolk Brass because it is the best band. So he plays the 'best instrument' in the 'best band'. Can't be bad! His proudest banding moment is playing at the National Brass Band Championship Finals with Norfolk Brass.

He lists brass and big band as his favourite types of music; his CD collection includes music by Michael Buble, Mamma Mia, Robbie Williams and Jools Holland.

Outside of banding, Andrew works as a solicitor in Norwich. He also plays the piano.
